Service terms
Plain language, on purpose. These are the terms for the personal travel-plan service.
What this service is
The Dog-Friendly Route researches and writes personal, car-free travel plans for people travelling with dogs. It is an information and research service. We do not sell transport tickets or accommodation, we make no bookings, and we are not a party to any booking you make with an operator or accommodation provider.
What a €39 founding plan includes
- One trip: one origin, one travel window, up to three stays, round trip or one way
- One recommended route with as many trains, buses and ferries as it needs
- Up to two alternatives where they give you a real choice
- Day-trip ideas from your bases
- The dog rules for the transport legs, with sources and the dates we checked them
- Booking order and notes on what to recheck before you book
- Delivery by email within the window we agree when we accept your request
What it does not include
- Bookings, reservations or tickets of any kind — you book directly and stay in control
- Guarantees that an operator will carry your dog, run the service, or hold a price — operators decide on the day
- Monitoring your trip after delivery (the plan tells you what to recheck and when)
- Longer or multi-trip itineraries — we scope those individually before you pay
- Legal or veterinary advice
How it works
Sending the trip form is free. Within 24 hours we tell you whether we can take your request on. Payment happens only after we accept it, and research starts when payment arrives. If we cannot produce a workable recommendation for your accepted request, we refund the full amount.
Changes
If your dates or ideas change before delivery, reply to our email thread — we work changes into the plan while it is still in research, as long as it stays the same trip. After delivery, one round of clarification questions is included. A different trip — new destination, new window, added stops — is a new request, quoted separately.
Right of withdrawal
When you pay, you agree that work on your plan begins immediately. Under EU distance-selling rules, your 14-day right of withdrawal ends once the plan has been fully delivered. Before delivery, the statutory right applies as written in law.
Accuracy
Every rule and timetable in a plan is checked against the operator's own published information and dated. Operators change rules, timetables and services, and they make the final decision on the day of travel. The plan names what is most likely to change and when to recheck it; please verify times and rules with the operator when you book.
Liability
Our liability in connection with a plan is limited to the amount you paid for it, except where the law does not permit such a limitation (for example, in cases of intent or gross negligence, or injury to life, body or health).
Operator and applicable law
The service is operated by Catrina Yeldon — full details on the Legal & privacy page. German law applies.
